This project argues for viewing dance as a form of multimodal art. It begins by drawing parallels between dance and literature and then expands its claims to show how dance is both visual and auditory art. Ultimately, the author argues that while in many universities writing, performing, and creating are treated as separate practices, when in reality, there is not only significant overlap, but the possibility of improving each of these practices by integrating them with the others.
