This website connects the work of Paulo Freire to Disability Studies, with an emphasis on shifting the ways in which people with disabilities are perceived in culture and society. Further, this text draws on Freire’s work to highlight the Disability Rights movements (historical and present) and to provide readers with specific action items that can help shift readers from allies to activists.
