Week 1: 11/17 – 11/19 (2-4 hours)
- Start planning what we want it to look like.
- Plan who’s helping with what parts.
- Create and distribute a google survey to get an idea of what students want with affordable student housing — to our classmates and other members of the school we know.
Week 2: 11/20 – 11/26 (4-6 hours)
- Start interviewing students on campus and create recordings.
- Start work on the petition using student interviews and google surveys to portray wants and needs for affordable housing.
- Create the social media page and follow and advertise for our group.
Week 3: 11/27 – 12/3 (4-6 hours)
- Finish student video interviews — get them ready to post compilations on social media.
- Finish updating the social media page — post interviews as a hint to our project on social media.
- Finish the petition for signatures.
- Publicize the petition online.
- Create an Op-Ed to post on the Nevada Sagebrush for publicity.
Week 4: 12/4 – 12/10 (4-6 hours)
- Finish posting final interviews on social media.
- Keep publicizing petition.
- Go around campus to get people to sign the petition.
- Prep materials for creating a final digital composition of our work in video format.
Week 5: 12/11 – 12/13 (6-8 hours)
- Finish the digital composition,
- Continue to get petition signatures.
- Continue to post on social media urging students to fight for their right to affordable student housing options.
